Owner
My journey into construction began not with a family legacy, but with my own hands and a passion for building. I learned the trade through sheer perseverance and on-the-job experience, from the ground up. This firsthand experience gave me more than just skills; it showed me a side of the industry I didn’t agree with—a lack of integrity and a disconnect from client needs.
To complement my years in the field with advanced industry leadership, I earned my Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy, Manufacturing, and Trades Management from Lone Star College. I founded KBM Builders to do things differently—combining rigorous technical expertise with a company culture built on honor and respect for every client we serve. I don’t see our work as a one-off job, but as the beginning of a lifetime commitment. We are dedicated to our clients long after a project is complete.

With over seven years of experience managing more than $3B in transactions and reviewing thousands of legal documents, I bring a detail-oriented, high-efficiency framework to my role as Consultant and Head of Technology and Legal. My background spans commercial-scale residential real estate, logistics, and construction, where I’ve delivered lean reporting and streamlined operations that protect our business and elevate our service.
For the past eight years, I’ve proudly called Texas home, and I’m passionate about supporting local small businesses. At KBM Builders, I channel my legal expertise and technological oversight into protecting our operations and spearheading the advanced tech platforms that keep our clients connected and our projects seamless. By driving our compliance and digital innovation, I ensure our team can focus on delivering quality construction with absolute confidence.
Robert Temple
Director of Field Operations
Bringing blueprints to reality requires both practical expertise and strategic leadership. As Director of Field Operations, I manage the moving parts of every KBM Builders job site—coordinating teams, maintaining strict timelines, and upholding our high standards of quality control. Backed by an Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Electronics and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy, Manufacturing, and Trades Management from Lone Star College, I utilize cutting-edge industry practices to ensure our physical builds are as precise as our digital documentation. My unique background in industrial electronics and modern management allows me to oversee complex project logistics with a high level of technical precision, turning our clients’ visions into enduring realities.
Monica Smith
Director of Administration
Managing operations from my home base in Michigan, I serve as the Director of Administration for KBM Builders. I believe that a successful construction project relies just as much on what happens behind the scenes as it does on the job site. My focus is on keeping our remote and regional teams perfectly aligned, our communication crystal clear, and our administrative processes running like clockwork. By managing the vital details that keep our business moving forward, I ensure our clients experience the transparency, respect, and peace of mind that KBM was founded on—no matter the distance.
